Wight Warriors Speedway Ltd is a Nora Motorsport affiliated club and riders can apply for their licences under the club name. If you plan to ride your bike on the Smallbrook track in 2024, whether racing or practicing, you will need a Nora Motorsport Licence. Any licences issued by other motorsport Governing Bodies are no longer valid.
RACING SEASON LICENCES
To race you must have an Adult/Youth Competition licence. The basic Adult licence is £55 without personal accident cover, or £85 for the advanced licence which includes comprehensive Personal Accident Cover. If the club races internationally, your adult licence will need upgrading to include worldwide repatriation to a level of £150,000 and will cost £190.
The Youth Competition Licence (Youth Speedway) costs £50 for the basic licence and £75 if it includes Personal Accident Cover. Full details of the Personal Accident Cover are shown on the Nora Website HERE under the heading Advanced Licence.
PRACTICE SESSION LICENCES
If you plan to only practice at My First Skid, you need to purchase an Adult/Youth Practice Licence which is currently £25.
Day licences are available for both racing and practice.
A racing day licence costs £5 with a practise licence costing £1.50 which are unchanged from 2022. A Day Licence Information Card is available for £1, which provides you with a unique number whilst holding your information on file. This enables you to purchase further Day Licences without the need to fill in Day Licence forms for the event you are riding in.
Once you have selected your licence, head into the sales basket and follow the online instructions, ensuring you select 'Wight Warriors Speedway Ltd' as your club (unless you have another). The registration process is straightforward, however when uploading an image for photo registration it is advised the image be less than 2MB in size. (Most phone cameras capture images in high resolution resulting in a larger file size.)
