'Marvellous' Morley Makes Warriors Return

Fans of the Warriors can today pull an early Christmas Cracker and celebrate the great news that Captain Fantastic Ben Morley will be leading the side again when the new season starts in April – and this time he will be wearing the number one race jacket with a 9.18 average.

It will be Morley’s third consecutive season as the Warriors talisman and the signing will delight the terrace supporters who now see the Essex based charger as very much one of their own.

Welcoming back Morley, Warriors’ team manager Jackie Vatcher said, “Ben was the first name on our wish list for 2020. He’s a marvellous captain, consistent high scorer at all tracks and is a terrific ambassador for all that the club tries to do on the Island. We are all pleased to see him back, however surprisingly, he hasn’t yet secured a doubling-up ride at a Championship side so he will be going all out to register big scores and put himself in the shop window should an appropriate vacancy occur”.

Morley is overjoyed to be back saying “It’s great to be able to say that I will be back with the award winning Warriors. I have had two brilliant years there and to be asked back was just what I wanted. The Warriors may not be the biggest club in British speedway, but everyone there is so committed to making speedway work and it’s an absolute thrill to be involved in moving the sport forward. April can’t come soon enough”.
