Match Preview - Fen Tigers v Warriors (NL).......Updated

Less than a month after suffering a heavy 42 point defeat in the National Trophy, the Warriors return to Mildenhall this Sunday for more National League action as they face up to another of the division’s most fancied teams. Warriors go on second in a double header fixture after the Fen Tigers first tackle the Kent Kings.

Mildenhall are expected to be unchanged, however Warriors will have to make alterations to their usual line up. Ben Morley returned to action on Friday evening following his spill on Thursday but took another hard fall. Social media report that he is no more than bruised and shaken, but whether is able to race over the weekend remains to be seen.

If he can ride, it will be for his Championship club Lakeside at Redcar in the national four team tournament so with this in mind the Warriors have booked Eastbourne’s Georgie Wood to take the vacant number one slot. Former Fen Tiger, Alfie Bowtell will be looking to continue his impressive start with the Island side and local junior Connor King will be given another outing at number six.

With a scorching weather forecast, the teams for the fry-up in the Fens are expected to be:

Fen Tigers: Josh Bailey, Sam Bebee, Danny Halsey, Ryan Kinsley, Danny Ayres, Drew Kemp, Matt Marson.

Warriors: Georgie Wood, Danno Verge, Scott Campos, Chris Widman, Alfie Bowtell, Connor King, Shaun Tedham.

Update - As a result of his crash at Peterborough last night, Ben Morley has had to withdraw from the Lakeside squad riding in the Championship Fours Event at Redcar tomorrow. The Hammers have called in Alfie Bowtell to fill the gap and as a result the Warriors will now be using three guests at Mildenhall with Plymouth's Ryan Terry-Daley joining Georgie Wood and Connor King in the Island side.
