Talking of Jack UpThe 80s relationship with the local speedway team the ‘Wightlink’ Warriors, event organiser Sarah Moss said, "The team at Jack Up The 80s have individually been keen supporters of the speedway since it started on the Island in the mid 90’s. This exhilarating sport not only provides a great evening of entertainment but owing to the continued success of the Warriors, helps to put the Island firmly on the sporting map. Like Jack Up The 80s all of these events are important for the Island economy and the Warrior Way is very much in keeping with the ethos of our family friendly festival.
Smallbrook is a great facility and we moved our event to the stadium last year in order to dovetail with the hard working volunteers and speedway enthusiasts to ensure a secure future for the venue, thereby reinforcing our commitment to both the team and the local community."
‘Wightlink’ Warriors Co-promoter Barry Bishop added, "It’s great to welcome back Jack Up The 80s to the home of the ‘Wightlink’ Warriors for 2018. The fun, family weekend is a firm favourite in the festival calendar bringing people from across the UK and Europe to the Isle of Wight. Last year we had the opportunity to showcase our bikes and promote our club which raised a lot of interest in what we do, the clubs family ethos and speedway racing in general. Our landlords, Smallbrook Stadium have done a fantastic job working with the Jack Up The 80s team showcasing what can be done at Smallbrook Stadium for the benefit of the Island's economy and wellbeing of our residents, which in turn helps support all of the sports held at the stadium including speedway. It is a great pleasure to say, Jack Up The 80s welcome back to the ‘Wightlink’ Warriors 2018 Sponsorship Team."
