Island-based event production company Spyder UK has joined the 2018 ‘Wightlink’ Warriors sponsorship team. The company, who provide support and equipment to a range of events, not only here on the Isle of Wight and nationally but also internationally, have worked on a wide range of ongoing and one-off projects, including concerts, music festivals, corporate events, music tours, exhibition shows, and firework shows. A small handful of the projects from 2017 alone include the Isle of Wight Festival, Jack Up the 80s, Eklectica, Little Mix UK tour, British Summer Time, Cowes Week, Glastonbury, and the 2017 European Capital of Culture Summer Show in Paphos, Cyprus.

Andy Squibb, Managing Director of Spyder UK said, “Having worked closely with Barry and Martin on shows and events at the Smallbrook site during the last year, it’s been amazing to experience some of the passion that’s behind the Warriors team; there's a real sense of community, and it’s clear that the team’s passion for motorsport is rubbing off on some many others locally, particularly with some of the youth activities down there. We’re looking forward to working with the Warriors' management team in supporting the events which, in turn, support and develop the team's core motorsport activities. It’s clear that the Smallbrook site has plenty to offer to the Island’s community beyond the barriers of the speedway track, and it’s great to see that there’s a real drive to make sure that these activities can all complement one another."

‘Wightlink’ Warriors Commercial Director Barry Bishop added, “We are all delighted to have Andy and Spyder UK onboard with the Warriors this season. Andy is an infectious person who loves what he does and the Isle of Wight. It's also true to say he has a wealth of contacts across the island and UK and we very much hope that there will be opportunities to introduce them to the club over the coming season. Andy also understands the bigger picture of the Warriors and its community driven ethos and how this develops on the Isle of Wight. We look forward to expanding our relationship with Andy both with the Warriors and Smallbrook stadium in the coming years. It's going to be a blast. It gives me great pleasure to welcome Spyder UK to the 2018 ‘Wightlink’ Warriors sponsorship team."
