The ‘Wightlink’ Warriors opening meeting of the season The Vince Mapley Memorial Trophy has been postponed.
The track and centre green are waterlogged with more rain due all day tomorrow there is little chance of getting the track prepared for racing. Disappointed Co-Promoter Barry Bishop said, “With riders and fans travelling from across the country, the early decision has been made to postpone the meeting to a later date when we hope we can schedule all of Thursday’s line up to join us and race for the title”.
Warriors next / first track action is this coming weekend when they travel to Mildenhall on Sunday to take on the Fen Tigers in the National Trophy. This will be followed by the visit of Belle Vue Colts to Smallbrook Stadium on 12th April for what promises to be a terrific first league fixture of the season.
