Covec Renew Sponsorship

The Warriors management are proud to announce that Hampshire based Tech Textile clothing company Covec Ltd are continuing to support the club for a third successive year.

“It’s a very relevant proving ground for our performance textiles”, says Covec’s Lisa Bloxsome, adding "racing there is high speed with no brakes, while it’s thrilling and exhilarating for the crowd, rider protection for abrasion and heat transfer is very important, that’s where Covec can provide absolutely unique protection with a patented bespoke material made for the sport."

‘Wightlink’ Warriors Commercial Director Barry Bishop added, "Covec and their protective clothing brand Bull-it Jeans are fantastic supporters of both the club and My First Skid and this is their third season as part of our sponsorship team. Our school is an important part of the whole speedway package on the Isle of Wight and having such an important business within the sport as one of our sponsors says so much about what we are doing and how we are doing it. The Bloxsome family have a long racing history with Keith Bloxsome a former speedway rider whose advice to the club is priceless and enables us to be the best we can be when developing young riders through the school, My First Skid. Covec is very active in material development for rider safety and has made a big difference in reducing burns and associated injuries on the race circuit. It gives me great pleasure to welcome back to the 2018 ‘Wightlink’ Warriors Sponsorship Team Covec and Bull-it Jeans."
