The Wightlink Warriors management are still coming to terms with the totally unexpected and heart-breaking news that Nigel Pearson, the voice of speedway in the UK, passed away last week at age 52.

A highly respected journalist and broadcaster, Pearson did much to support the attempts to revive the fortunes of Cradley speedway and it was on the Warriors league visits to Wolverhampton and Birmingham that paths would cross with friendships renewed.

Everyone associated with speedway on the Island send their sincere condolences to Nigel’s family and friends at this awful time.
