New Date For The Visit Of Crayford Kestrels

The planned meeting between the Wightlink Wizards and the Crayford Kestrels originally planned for 5 August fell victim to bad weather, however with the speedway season being extended by two meetings the Wizards are now able to entertain the Kent side on Tuesday 14th September as an integral part of the final round of the Island Masters series.

Island speedway supremo Barry Bishop said, “I was so disappointed when the weather turned against us last month when we were all set to race the Kestrels and I was even more upset when I found out that a lot of folk had had a wasted trip from Kent and saw no racing.

Now that we have been able to extend our season it’s an ideal opportunity to bring the Kestrels back and more importantly I can uphold my promise to those travelling fans who will be admitted free in recognition of their wonderful backing for their side.

With the NORA British Championship on the 9th September and the climax of the Island Masters on the 14th September it’s looking like a terrific way to sign off our Summer Spectacular series for 2021”.
