More Track Action For The Warriors

Hot on the heels of the ‘Wightlink’ Warriors first speedway action at Plymouth last Tuesday comes news that they are going to get more track time in this most unpredictable of seasons.

The Covid test event in Devon earlier this week went off without a hitch finding universal favour and on the back of that success, Plymouth promoter Mark Phillips has secured approval from the authorities to run further meetings with the Warriors invited for a full team meeting at the Coliseum Arena on Saturday 17th October with a 6 p.m. start.

Warrior’s co-promoter Barry Bishop said,

“Everyone involved in Tuesday night’s test meeting could not have been happier with the way in which the Plymouth management and volunteers organised their event and I know the riders and supporters were very comfortable and happy to comply with the new procedures now needed to run a meeting.

We appreciate that regulations around Covid are very fluid at the moment, but as it stands Plymouth have the green light to run more meetings and the ‘Wightlink’ Warriors have been invited back for a seven man team fixture on 17 October and we are very happy to accept.

We will, of course, update our supporters using our usual media channels should we hear of any changes”.
