Meeting Preview - Weymouth 'Wildcats' vs Isle of Wight ‘Wightlink Wizards’ Midland & Sou

WIZARDS LOOK TO TAME WILDCATS ON PREMIERSHIP SHALE

Tonight sees the Wightlink Wizards take the shortest journey of their season for their final meeting with a ‘local derby’ against the Weymouth Wildcats, who this year are running their home meetings at the home of Premiership club Poole Pirates.

Team manager Kevin Shepherd has named the following quartet tonight Chad Wirtzfeld, Morgan Williams, Jamie Sealey and Chris Watts to represent the Wizards. The Wildcats have found it tough going at times this season but the Wizards will take nothing for granted and approach this meeting with the same determination to get a victory, putting the pressure back on Exeter for second place in the league.

Kevin said, “I along with all the management team are immensely proud of the way all the Wizards squad have conducted themselves this year and they sit high in the table on merit. It is a shame the season is coming to a close as they have all proved that with the extra track time they have had this season with more teams in the league how much they have progressed.”

The Wizards take to the track on conclusion of the Poole vs Kings Lynn meeting so they will have had 15 heats to work out the best lines to take and how the track is holding up.
