WIZARDS SQUAD MEMBERS

KEVIN SHEPPARD : TEAM MANAGER

Swapping his position of 'Clerk of the Course' to the managerial role of the Wizards, Kevin brings many years of experience from his days as co-team manager of the Islanders.  Having managed riders in the past such as former World Champions Chris Holder and Jason Doyle, Kevin's tactical knowledge and superb  rapport with the Wizards riders never fails to bring the best out of the team.

JAMIE SEALEY : 06/07/1989 : BASINGSTOKE, HAMPSHIRE

Having represented the Warriors in the 2017 & 2018 seasons, Jamie also rode for the Exeter 'Falcons'.  Having now gained plenty of experience, Jamie looks to score big points from the front, whilst passing on his experience to the other Wizard riders.  Focused, determined, upbeat and a firm fans favourite on the Island, Jamie seeks to continue his improvement as a Wizard.

CHRIS WATTS : 12/06/1990 : CHARING, KENT

Chris commenced his racing at 14 years old after trying speedway at Eastbourne where he learned to gate, slide and avoid a fallen rider by laying the bike down.  Moving onto the grass, he progressed onto the 350cc class, whilst partaking in the 500cc class  occasionally.  After taking a few years out, he made
his comeback in 2017, racing for Milton Keynes.  He is a regular at MFS
and had a solid first season with the Wizards.  Chris would like to
thank Martyn Smith from MPS body and paintMum, Dad, Pete, Rob
and girlfriend Charley.

BEN ILSLEY (CAPTAIN): 26/12/1988 : PARK GATE, NEAR FAREHAM

No stranger to racing on oval circuits, Ben swaps 15 years of racing experience on the grass to take on shale racing.  A MFS student, this Wizard has invested heavily to make sure he is fully prepared when he lines up at the tapes.  Ben said "I give 100% in everything I do whether it’s scoring points or helping a teammate.  We have a great team and we sure do have a lot of fun
on and off track."  Ben is sponsored by Giles Dismore of Red Spanner
Racing who has been supporting him throughout his grasstrack racing,
and Sean of Diverso Accountants Limited.

MORGAN WILLIAMS : 05/01/1998 : RYDE, ISLE OF WIGHT

A true 'newbee' to the shale racing scene, Morgan watched his first meeting (Warriors) in 2016 and has been hooked ever since.  An important member of the track staff on race nights, Morgan swaps his track 'rake' for his bike and puts his MFS training to the test.  Both an Islander and a regular MFS student, Morgan relishes the challenge of racing on the biggest track in the
country.  "A dream come true" in his own words, "especially after
such a short time riding speedway."  The Island fans sure do raise
their voices when 'one of their own' takes to the track.

JAMES LUCKMAN : 04/10/1975 : SHANKLIN, ISLE OF WIGHT

James joined the Wizards not only as a MFS student and Islander, but father to young Charlie, one of the Warriors Mascots.  Having ridden for 12 years now, he loves the new challenge as a racing Wizard.  James said "Being selected for the Wizards for me is about being part of a
team and having the opportunity to develop as a rider along with
providing support for the team in whichever way I can.  Winning is
important, but the concept of development for everyone is the name
of the game.  I for one never thought I would have an opportunity like
this to be part of a great  club."
