Busy Week For The Warriors Starts In Kent
The Isle of Wight ‘Wightlink’ Warriors speedway team have a busy time ahead with three meeting in four days, starting with a trip to Sittingbourne tomorrow to take on the Kent Kings.
Visits to the well appointed Central Park stadium are never easy affairs and the home sides’ tails will be up after their six point win on the Island last Thursday. Kent are expected to make one change with Nick Laurence making way for William O’Keefe whilst Warriors bring in Connor King at reserve in place of O’Keefe.
Due to curfew restrictions at the track it’s a 6.30 start in Kent followed by a quick turnaround to be ready for the Vincent’s Handicap meeting at Smallbrook Stadium on Tuesday evening and then another trip, this time to Plymouth on Thursday.
Kings: Luke Bowen, Taylor Hampshire, Jack Thomas, Anders Rowe, Nathan Stoneman, William O’Keefe, Alex Spooner.
Warriors: Ben Morley, Rider Replacement for Chris Widman, Scott Campos, Danno Verge, Alfie Bowtell, Connor King, Shaun Tedham.

The home side went in to the meeting in confident mood following their away win on the Island last week. Former Kent man Ben Morley and Alfie Bowtell again worked overtime to keep the Warriors afloat but needed greater back up against a compact Kings side scoring from all positions.
